David Burdick was a good friend. SGHS days, I remember David, myself and Angelo Santoro, on Friday nights riding in Davids White Ford pickup tooling Hollywood Blvd. and Mulholland Drive. After Hollywood the three of us would jump on the SB freeway ending up in Crestline, Lake Gregory, to catch the the last hours of the Job's Daughter dances. What fun we three had in those memorable days.

Coming to South Gate from South Central Los Angeles, I was absolutely stunned by the culture shock.  Dave immediately befriended me and offered assurance and someone with whom to share my insecurities...which he remieded almost immediately.  He remained a friend until the day we graduated.  I am so sorry we lost touch over the next 50 years.  I could tell, even then, that he was, and would be a superb human being, kind, caring and helpful to anyone in need.  I'm also sure he was a wonderful family man and offer my sincere condolences to all of them.

I will always celebrate his life with my thoughts of his amazing presence in mine.

Jeri
