Most of you might better remember her, as "Peggy". We went through San Gabriel Avenue school together. And, we both played the flute in the school orchestra and practiced together.
I remember too, the trips to the drug store on Firestone and San Carlos (?) or maybe San Gabriel where we sometimes went for lunch. Peggy had a "permanent pass" to go home for lunch. I got to have one sometimes to go with her (I also went home sometimes).
Peggy was a fierce competitor in all sports in Elementary school! She always beat me in teather ball! As well as the group things like kickball and every other thing!
Once in a while she would go to church with me. I remember her dad's work was involved with auto racing...and Peggy was so sad when Bill Vukovich was killed. Peggy's dad knew him well and Peggy also knew him.
I had often wondered what happened to her...had not remembered seeing her much after elementary school. Wish I had had the opportunity to chat with her later on.
