I am very ashamed to say that we (I) were not always kind to Florence.  I have often thought of her and repented of how we (I) acted.

So wish that I could undo past actions!

Pray that Florence had an easier time in life after school.

I don't really know what is was but Florence and I became friends in jr.high and on in to high school. She had a funny side that a lot of people did'nt see.

I would say "Hi" to Florence in passing between classes and other times and she would smile and reply. I once told her she had a great smile and to keep smiling and she did. I felt bad for her when others weren't nice to her. I recently met her niece and she teared up when I  remembered Florence to her. I am sure she is at Peace in Heaven.

My condolences to Florence Magnusson's loved ones and friends.

Reading some of the other responses, I agree that many of us avoided befriending Florence and sadly myself as well. I think it was Mahatma Gandhi who said one of the greatest gifts you can give someone is your friendship. I am sure many of us wish we would have had the maturity back then that we do now so we could have mitigated some of our bias.

God bless you, Florence Magnusson.

Rest gently sweet girl, you're in a place of peace and happiness NOW. May all the simple pleasures you were denied on earth be yours in abundance now.
