In Memory

Ronald Carlson

Ronald Carlson

Unfortunately, Ron and his wife, Cathy, did not attend our 50th, as they had planned to attend Cathy's high school reunion in Illinois in September, 2012 and then visit family in Pennsylvania.  While traveling, Ron became ill and was hospitalized in Illinois.  He suffered a cardiac arrest, caused by a pulmonary embolism, and passed away September 14, 2012 in Springfield, Illinois.  A loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a devoted Christian, Ron lived a fulfilled life, successfully working hard, serving the Lord, and loving his family.  Click on his profile and read about his life--you will be blessed!

Ron will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Cathy; daughter, Julie and her husband, Rick Hale; son, Eric; and two grandchildren, Maggie and Thomas Hale.

A great guy in High School--a good student; quiet, yet friendly, always with a sincere smile and a kind demeanor--a real gentleman!

I remember what a sweet guy you were, Ron, and I can picture you always smiling!  I also remember you were smart!!  I have had the pleasure of talking with Cathy and wish you guys could have come to our 50th Reunion so we could get reacquainted!  What a beautiful testimony your life has been and a witness to us all!  You will be missed for sure, but I'm looking forward to seeing you in Heaven!!!!  God bless your precious family and those you left behind for a time....

Ron and I were good friends at SGHS.  I took my first airline flight (PSA I think) with Ron up to UCB (Berkeley) to check out the campus and find some affordable housing.  We were roomates for the first semester at Berkeley.  I was hoping to see him again at our recent SGHS reuinion.
