I graduated from State Street Elementry School with Bob Christy. We lived on the Northwest side of South Gate and most of the kids from State Street went on to attend Jr. & Sr. High in Huntington Park. It saddens me to see so many names on the “In Memory” list and to find Bob and four others from State Street (Lyn Beckstrom, Linda Lacey, Bob Landrum, and Peggy Perkins) on it.
BOB WAS A GREAT FRIEND. WE BOWLED IN MANY LEAGUES TOGETHER AND HE WANTED TO BE A PROFESSIONAL BOWLER. I HAVE MISSED HIM EVER SINCE HIS PASSING. BOB LEFT US WAY TO SOON AND BEFORE HE COULD FOLLOW HIS DREAM OF BEING A TOP BOWLER. RIP MY FRIEND.
