John & I went "steady," from the time he and Danny Clark carried me up the tunnell stairs, where I had fallen and broken my leg, to the nurses office. John, Danny & I had a lot adventures. They were close friends, along with Dan Shultz, who lendt so much humor and giddyness to our group, that we all loved him.
One weekend I told my parents that I was spending the weekend with Carol Miller. Then, Danny picked John and I up, and we went camping in Big Bear. Yes....those were the days. Sweet, close and beautiful. A first love never dies.
I can't believe John is gone. I always knew I would see him again one day. And, I will.
