Dave Carr was born September 4, 1943, in South Gate, California.  He went to be with his LORD and Savior on October 12, 2013 in Bakersfield, California.  He passed away due to heart failure.  Dave was preceded in death by parents Paul and Margaret Carr of Lake Isabella, California, and nephew, Scott Carr.  He is survived by:  his sister, Carol Berlin with her husband Bob; his brother Steve Carr with his wife Susan; two nieces, Kathleen Lane with her husband Mike; and Colleen Hoffman with her husband Richard; three great-nieces, Molly and Sophie Lane, and Layla Hoffman; and two great-nephews, Matthew Adam, and Wesley Scott Hoffman.

After high school graduatin Dave worked in the fieldsof:  auto parts delivery, then distribution of wholesale meats to grocery stores throughout Southern California.  A man of many talents, Dave worked in a sheet metal fabrication business before moving to Lake Isabella in the mid-1980's.  He lived with his Mom and Dad and assisted in their care before Mom's passing in 1991 and Dad's passing in 1997.  He was a gentle caregiver.

Dave was well known as a handyman in Southlake and other areas.  His love of cars was evident throughout his life.  In high school he was known for driving one of the fastest cars in town, a hopped up '57 Chevy.  He never lost a street race with his '29 Model A Ford pickup with a blown Chrysler Hemi engine.  NASCAR was his favorite TV show.  His home was decorated with model cars, car photos, and family pictures.

Dave was an easy-going, fun loving, out-going, generous person.  Dave was always willing to share anything he had with anyone who needed help.

Do Not Weep…

Do not stand at my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am in a thousand winds that blow,

I am the softly falling snow.

I am the gentle showers of rain,

I am the fields of ripening grain.

I am in the morning hush,

I am in the graceful rush

Of beautiful birds in circling flight,

I am the star shine of the night.

I am in the flowers that bloom,

I am in a quiet room.

I am in the birds that sing,

I am in each lovely thing.

Do not stand at my grave and cry,

I am not there.  I do not die.

Those We Love…

Those we love remain with us….

In the whisper of the wind

In a soft rain that falls from Heaven

In each sunrise

In every single star that lights the night sky and

In every single memory we hold within our hearts.

My prayers and thoughts are with you… Ron
