In Memory

Jean Shober (Desy)

Jean Shober (Desy)

Jean and her twin sister, Joan, were born June 1, 1944.  Sadly, Joan died May 14, 2002 and recently, after numberous health issues, Jean passed away May 2, 2016 of a massive stroke. During high school, Jean and Joan were close friends of Janiffer Schroeder Van Koll, Sean (Sue) Yerkes Shipley and Judy Hanson Dillard.  The five of them continued their friendship through the years and reconnected at our 50th Reunion.  The mother of three sons, Rusty, Randy and Ron Jones, Jean was divorced and remarried.  During part of her life she lived in Pennsylvania but moved back to California several years ago.  After our 50th  she lived with her dear friend, Judy Hanson Dillard, and Judy cared for her and also opened her home to Jean’s son, Ron.  It became necessary for Jean to move to Bellingham, Washington to be near her son, Rusty, and he continued to care for her and watch over her until her death.  Sadly, her son Ron, died September 25, 2015.  Jean will be deeply missed by her two sons, Rusty and Randy, and close friends.  Rest in peace, dear classmate and friend.
